A Scottish Summer
Wednesday, 22 June 2011 - Fiona Ritchie
The children and I are happily anticipating the holiday season. We are in the last throes of Sports Days, Open afternoons, puppy walking, school musicals and birthday parties...it is an achievement to make it through each day intact! My impulsive need to make lists is becoming a lifesaver....
The Ochil Soap Company has adapted to working with all our lovely trade customers...the refurbished gift shops at Stirling Castle are doing a roaring trade in soap and Floral Melt boxes. The Castle is glistening and everyone is very proud of their beautiful shops, the Castle is such a lovely day out and a perfect way to see our Ochil Hills!
Our Soap Kitchen is also a wonderful place to work, a hive of activity with candles being wrapped, soaps cured, Wee Kisses poured and tartan ribbons tied...my eager helpers have worked so hard to get beautiful goodies out to customers from Turnberry and the Royal Mile, Loch Katrine and Iona Community....Here is to a successful summer for all our customers and and exciting and productive summer for the soap kitchen!
Here's to a Scottish Summer!
